Prior to establishing Hyder & Associates, she was a senior manager at Getty Oil Company responsible for the Litigation Support Department with worldwide responsibilities for litigation support. Her management and legal expertise have enabled her to work well with clients in identifying records and information management problems and creating successful solutions. As a seasoned professional, she understands the challenges once a new program has been created - it must also be maintained.

Sharon has been an active member in ARMA (Association of Records & Managers), Institute for Certified Records Managers (ICRM), and Institute of Certified Management Consultants (ICMC) for over 20 years. She has also served on the board in many capacities for GLA-ARMA and ICMC, in addition to serving as a Civil Service Commissioner for the City of Glendale for eight years. Today, she serves as a board member for several non-profit organizations. Additionally, Sharon has won numerous awards throughout the years for her outstanding service in the business community. Worldwide Who's Who proclaimed Sharon as the "2013 Professional of the Year" representing the Records Management Industry.
